About me
My name Is Georgia and I am a Therapist, Mother, Wife and a resident in beautiful British Columbia. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Science from Simon Fraser University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
I am passionate about the work I do and have extensive experience working with those struggling with PTSD, CPTSD, Addiction, Depression, Anxiety, Pregnancy loss and Stress. I have worked with those struggling with addiction and complex mental health issues in a harm reduction setting and treatment setting. I believe that change is possible when we have connection and insight into ourselves.
I have both personal and professional experience in the areas of parenting, infertility, pregnancy loss, pre natal and post natal depression. I am aware of how navigating these challenges can be extremely lonely and isolating and am here to provide support, warmth and resources.
Having faced challenges in my own life I know that life and people are imperfect. I believe imperfection is beautiful and that learning to embrace our imperfections and work with them is key to living a full life.
My approach with clients is like a warm hug with a firm hand shake. I provide warmth, empathy, a listening ear while encouraging clients to get curious about their patterns and challenging them to make changes. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and that we grow when surrounded by right environment. I aim to be that environment for my clients and champion their growth.
I have worked with adults of all genders and identities on the following issues:
Anxiety & Stress
Depression
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)
Self-Esteem
Pre and Post natal depression and anxiety
Infertility
Pregnancy & Infant Loss
Relationship Issues
Grief & Loss
Life Transitions
My approach
Therapy is most effective when you feel safe, seen, and understood. I believe that connection is at the heart of healing—and that having a non-judgmental, compassionate space to explore your experiences can make all the difference during times of struggle, transition, and growth. Mental health exists on a spectrum, and many of us will move through seasons where extra support is not only helpful, but necessary.
I invite clients to approach the therapeutic process with curiosity and self-compassion. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can feel at home, explore what’s unfolding for you, and begin to move toward clarity and change—at your own pace.
As a trained trauma therapist, I offer specialized support using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for relief from PTSD and trauma symptoms, as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients connect with their inner world. My work is grounded in a person-centered, Adlerian approach and often incorporates mindfulness practices. Together, we’ll tailor our sessions to find the therapeutic style that fits you best.
I know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. My hope is to make that process feel a little easier. I believe people are capable of meaningful change—and that therapy, with the right fit, can be truly transformative. It certainly has been for me. That’s why I care so deeply about this work, and the people I support.
