Frequently asked questions.
Does virtual Counselling work?
Yes! Research has shown that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions. It also offers added convenience and flexibility—you can access support from the comfort of your own home, without the need to commute or rearrange your day. Many clients find that being in a familiar setting actually helps them feel more at ease during sessions.
Is therapy covered by my benefits?
You may be covered for therapy depending on your insurance provider as well as your coverage. The best way to find out would be to consult with your insurance provider directly and ask if you have coverage for services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens—and I totally understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let me know by email at least 24 hours in advance. This helps me offer the spot to someone else who may be waiting. Sessions missed without 24-hours’ notice (including no-shows) will be charged the full session fee. Thanks for your understanding!
How many sessions do I need to attend?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some people come to therapy for a short period to work through a specific issue, while others prefer ongoing support over a longer time. We’ll check in regularly about how things are going and what feels helpful for you. There’s no set number of sessions—it's really about what feels right for you and your goals. You’re never locked in, and we’ll move at a pace that works for you.
